Business networking, firewalls and cabling
The internet 'goes slow' at certain times of day, and the only fix anyone knows is to turn the router off and on again.
What we do
How we handle it.
Networks are the foundation everything else sits on, and they are usually the least documented part of a business. We design, install and maintain yours properly, then keep a record of it so the next problem takes minutes instead of an afternoon.
What’s included
- Network design for new offices and refits
- Business firewalls, configured and maintained
- Managed switches and structured cabling
- Internet connectivity — leased lines, FTTP and backup lines
- Secure remote access for staff working from home
- Guest networks kept separate from your business systems
- Network monitoring with alerts before users notice
- Full documentation of what is plugged in where
Good to know
Three things worth knowing before you ask.
Built for the busy hour
We size a network for your worst moment, not your average one — everyone in, on calls, with backups running.
Documented properly
Diagrams, port maps, IP addresses and passwords, kept current. You own that documentation, whoever supports you next.
Moving office
We plan the network for a move so you are working on the first morning in the new building, not on the third.
Questions
Networking, answered.
Do we need to replace everything at once?
Rarely. We will tell you what is genuinely holding you back and what has years left in it. Often a single firewall or switch is the bottleneck, and replacing that one thing fixes the problem for a fraction of a full refresh.
Can you work with our existing internet provider?
Yes, and we will deal with them on your behalf when a fault sits on their side, which is often the slowest part of a network problem. If your connection is genuinely the limitation, we will show you the evidence and price the alternatives.
How do we get a price?
Start with a free IT review. We look at what you have, agree what you actually need, and send a written quote at a fixed price. There is no charge for the review and no obligation afterwards.
Do we have to be on a support plan?
No. We take on individual projects for businesses that already have IT support elsewhere. Plenty of clients start with one project and move onto a plan later.
